Wolfbrigade - In Darkness You Feel No Regrets [2003]

Genre: Crust / D-Beat

Another incredible Wolfbrigade album. Easily my favorite crust band of all time and my favorite band in general. This album features everything Wolfbrigade has to offer. Not much different from their later work on Prey To The World. The production is slightly less appealing but the tracks make up for it. Great tracks like Papercuts, Outlaw Vagabond, and The Awakening are what make this album so worth listening to. Wollfbrigade is one of the only bands I have ever heard that can bring a significant amount of melody into their music without taking anything away from the aggression. My respect for this band is infinite.

Severed Head Of State - No Love Lost [2002]

Genre: Crust / Hardcore Punk

No Love Lost is another one of those magical crust releases. It strays away from the norm and throws some really interesting hooks in here and there, especially on "Cloning Sheep" in the bass section. Production is more than bearable, the vocals are heavily distorted but fit the music very well. This is a great release to check out if your looking for something different, but still very crusty.

Hellcommand - 2009 Demo [2009]

Hellcommanddemo.png Hellcommand demo/shirt cover image by smearmike1986
It's not very often anymore that thrash gets this old school. Hellcommand just formed last year they have definitely made a mark on me with their debut demo. Balls to the wall old school thrash in the vein of Destruction, Slayer, Kreator, and Whiplash. Vocals sound almost identical to the new stuff that Fueled By Fire has been releasing. Incredible lead work throughout the album, great riffing, killer hooks, basically everything you need to catch some attention. The production is surprisingly bearable for a demo. Once these guys get a full length release out I'm almost positive they will be getting a LOT more attention.
